History
Founded in 1983, by Hoyt Smallwood and Orville Turner, S &
T Aircraft Accessories, Inc. has provided accessory overhauls
to primarily radial engine aircraft in the agricultural
industry and to vintage aircraft. Mary Turner, Orville’s wife,
has worked for the company since its conception.
In 1990, Hoyt Smallwood sold his shares of the company back to
S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc. Since then, S & T has been
family owned and operated. We currently have 10 employees, 4
of which are family.
Orville began engine accessory work in July of 1950 with L. H.
Luckey, Inc. of Dallas, TX. Orville made sure that his
knowledge and experience were taught to Mary Turner, his wife,
and Nathan Durbin, his step-son. When Orville passed away in
1998, Mary and Nathan became the owners of S & T Aircraft
Accessories, Inc. Together, they have been able to maintain
the high standards that Orville had set for the company.
In 1992, S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc. moved to its current
location, a 22,000 sq. ft. building, with plenty of shop and
warehouse space. Situated on a 3-acre tract, there is plenty
of room to grow.
